I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to write in this post.  The past week has been an overwhelming one here in QLD, and even more so when we hear of flooding now happening in other states of Australia and the terrible flash flooding and mudslides in Brazil.

We are very fortunate to have had no serious damage from the floods.  We have a bit of a mess in our sheds, farm fences washed away and a broken dam.. all such minor things when compared to the tragedy we see on the news every day.

It can feel like the small amount of help we are able to offer is just a tiny drop in the ocean, but please don't forget that every drop creates ripples.  I've never felt prouder to belong to such an amazing online creative community, and would like to send a huge THANK YOU to all the wonderful people who are making the following events happen.

Your Creative Journey Silent Auction
If you have a facebook profile, please "like" this page and invite your friends.  There are some beautiful donated items going up for auction every day, and all proceeds will be donated to the Premier's Flood Relief Appeal (you can also donate directly to the appeal at this link).
For information on how to bid in the auction, go the "discussions" tab.

Etsy Australian Flood Appeal Shop
Since opening last Wednesday, there have been almost 300 sales in this shop and thousands of dollars raised, also for the Qld Premiers Flood Relief Appeal.  Etsy shop owners donate their items and all proceeds (less etsy and paypal fees) go to the appeal.

There are many more flood support events that I'm not personally involved in, so I'll post some links here.  If you know of, or are organising others, please add your link to your comment.
